Design Project Tangen Senter, Norway
The Journey continues. The sculpture at 8 meters depth outside Tjuvholmen in Oslo, is probably filled with small fish and maybe a lobster by now. The company that will do the set-up for streaming I hope will get it ready soon, but we do not have to sit and wait for that. In life it important to focus on the areas that we can do something about, not the others… So in the early autumn Tangen Senter contacted me to see if I wanted to exhibit in an free space there, and somehow this meeting ended up in the idea of doing some art/design project among the shops. In my process of working with concrete for the sea sculpture,I came across the material Concrete Canvas. This together with willow branches have now formed and filled the Tangen Senter with 18 unique furniture and design elements. I love diving into new settings, having to expand my visual vocabulary and getting to know new materials. The creative chaos and steep learning curves intrigues me. The official opening of this project will be on Thursday the 14 of April, at 5pm. There is also a new Gallery DE3ROM that opened at Fornebu last week. I am one of 3 exhibitors, and new work is shown. Many new exiting things and connections are there, so something I`m sure will happen soon. Have an exciting spring!
