Have you ever strolled around art exhibitions and wondered why nothing seems to speak to you?
Do you find that a lot of art feels empty?
Insecurity might arise or a feeling that it is something you have not understood.
This have occurred in me so many times; I could go to exhibitions, and yes, nice colors, or fine lines, or maybe if I read an art critics analyze of the concept, an e-book about the thoughts behind it, I would maybe…or maybe not understand what I was supposed to feel or think.
During my BA Hons Art studies in Britain, I went to Tate Gallery, and had the same feeling, until I found myself sucked completely into a sculpture by Arnish Kapoor. THEN I thought YES! I should not doubt myself, but trust that the art that connects to me are out there, and trust that initial feeling.
